Autologous platelet-rich plasma or PRP has attracted attention in various medical fields recently, including orthopedic, plastic surgery and dermatology for its wound healing ability. Various growth factors, including platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor (TGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and insulin-like growth factor (IGF), are secreted from the α-granules of concentrated platelets.
