How does FaceTite work? 

 

Using radio-frequency (RF) technology, Dr. De La Cruz places a small probe beneath the skin that heats the tissues causing them to contract and tighten. FaceTite results are dramatic, yet natural. Patients tighter, younger looking skin can stay that way for years to come with optimal results lasting 3 to 5 years.

What are the benefits of FaceTite?

• Facial contouring treatment with FaceTite offers immediate and visible results. FaceTite is clinically proven to cause significant contraction of the skin and soft tissue (more than 35% skin retraction at 12 months, compared with less than 8% for similar fat reduction and skin tightening techniques.

• With FaceTite, patients who would prefer to avoid surgery and general anesthesia, can remove excess facial fat without leaving behind saggy, wrinkly skin.

• FaceTite can be combined with VASER Liposuction in the jowls and neck areas to attain more contouring and a more overall youthful appearance.

Post-Operative care to speed up your FaceTite recovery

​

• Wear your specialized garment, around the clock, for three days. After the 3rd day you may wear the garment only in the evening and while sleeping for at least 2 weeks or until the swelling subsides.

​

• Cleanse the treated areas gently with mild soap such as Cetaphil or Cerave and water after 48 hours.

​

• Do not rub or irritate the treated area. Avoid drying or irritating facial products including Retinol, Salicylic acid and Glycolic acid for three weeks. 

​

• Apply antibiotic ointment to the incision sites twice daily for one week after removing the compression garment. Tiny scabs may appear during the healing process. Please do not pick the scabs.

​

• Limit physical activity and exposure to excessive heat and UV light for two weeks.

​

• Sleep in a recliner or with your head elevated for at least 3 days to help minimize swelling.

​

• Minimize talking and chewing for 48 hours.

​

• As soon as 72 hours after the procedure, make-up may be applied to cover any redness or bruising. Avoid the incision points that may be still healing. 

​

• During the first week, facial shaving should only be done with an electric razor.

​

• Take only medication prescribed by Dr. De La Cruz or Tylenol for pain relieve (do not take both) after your FaceTite procedure, unless instructed otherwise. Other pain medication such as Aspirin or NSAIDs (Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Aleve, etc) are blood thinners and may cause bleeding or bruising. Take all your antibiotics unless instructed otherwise. 

 

• Avoid alcohol consumption and cigarettes for several days as instructed by Dr. De La Cruz.

Although the skin has initially healed, it would take up to 12 months for maximum skin tightening results to show.
